Mancunian referee Anthony Taylor has been named referee for Manchester City’s trip to Swansea City a week on Wednesday.
The Wythenshawe-born referee was in charge as City thrashed Watford 6-0 on the road earlier this season, his only appointment of the Blues to date in this campaign.
39-year-old Taylor has not officiated a Swansea game this season to date and this will be his first appointment with the Welsh side.
