The Manchester City career of Yaya Touré is approaching its final months, with the 34-year-old club icon out of contract in June 2018 and almost certain to say goodbye after eight memorable years at the Etihad Stadium.
The 34-year-old has been linked with a move to partner club New York City FC as early as January, and has failed to make the bench in recent games, with youngster Oleksandr Zinchenko getting the nod from Pep Guardiola.
So could Touré be on the move in January? The answer is no – according to his representative.
In a tweet aimed at the official City Watch account on Twitter, Touré’s agent Dimitri Seluk stated:
“Many clubs have asked for Yaya Touré. He will not go anywhere in the winter transfer window, 100 per cent. Please don’t worry. Yaya will stay at Man City until the end of the season. He will respect his contract. Yaya loves the club and remains fully committed to Manchester City.”

The comments of Seluk confirm that there will be no goodbye to Yaya Touré just yet. That will come at the end of the season, hopefully at which point the big Ivorian has added a few more honours to his glittering City career.
