Manchester City vs. Southampton: Starting Lineups & TV Information

Manchester City look to restore an eight point lead at the summit of the Premier League when they host Southampton in the ice cold Mancunian weather tonight at the Etihad Stadium.

The Blues have won back-to-back league games on the road and now have home comforts with two games at the Etihad, but must not get complacent with a dogged Manchester United refusing to let the gap widen too much.

Southampton come into the match having thrashed out-of-form Everton at the weekend, and City will be hoping for a better result than last season’s corresponding fixture, which finished 1-1 with Kelechi Iheanacho rescuing a point for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Today’s referee is a relatively new face in the Premier League, Paul Tierney, and here are the sides selected by Guardiola and his counterpart Mauricio Pellegrino.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Otamendi, Delph, Fernandinho, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Sterling, Jesus, Aguero

Southampton XI: Forster, Cédric, Yoshida, van Dijk, Hoedt, Bertrand, Højbjerg, Romeu, Lemina, Redmond, Long

Today’s match is NOT on TV in the UK but radio commentary is scheduled on BBC Radio Manchester. A full list of TV coverage from around the world can be found here.
