Manchester City are regularly watching prolific Beşiktaş forward Cenk Tosun, a club representative has confirmed to the Turkish press.
Beşiktaş general secretary Ahmet Ürkmezgil has revealed that City are among the teams watching Tosun, 26, who has 9 goals in 16 games to date this season.
“Manchester City came to watch Cenk Tosun. I think there were a few more teams. My head is so messy, I can not remember clearly,” Ürkmezgil is quoted as saying.
As expected, this is quite big news in the Turkish press, since a Pep Guardiola side is linked with their national team striker.

The German-born Turkish international has been finding the net regularly for several years, and also chipped in with an assist on Tuesday as Beşiktaş drew 1-1 with FC Porto in the Champions League.
Tosun also found the net in both of Beşiktaş’ games against AS Monaco in the Champions League, showing he can get the job done in Europe’s biggest club competition, not just in Turkey’s Süper Lig.
The extent of City’s interest isn’t known, and the extensive scouting network employed by the club means they can be watching hundreds of players at any one time.
