City Summary – November 9: Hazard and Martinez praise KDB, Stones compared to defensive giants, Diakhaby/Mangala swap?

It’s time to catch up on today’s news – here’s your City Summary:

The big news of the day was the long-rumoured Manchester City and Amazon Prime tie-up being made official. We’ll soon get to see a truly independent behind-the-scenes look at life at the Etihad.

England boss Gareth Southgate has showered praise on the much-improved John Stones, comparing him to former Pep Guardiola protégé, Gerard Pique and Jerome Boateng.

Eden Hazard has labelled Kevin De Bruyne the best player of the Premier League season so far and Manchester City the best side.

Meanwhile, Belgium boss Roberto Martinez reckons KDB can be as good as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo!

Expect more transfer rumours to kick in soon, but there are suggestions that Pep Guardiola could use Lyon’s interest in Eliaquim Mangala to sign highly-rated defender Mouctar Diakhaby.

Sergio Aguero was very happy to become City’s record goalscorer, but has also spoken of the upset his car accident in Amsterdam caused him.

It’s not exactly news – well it was one-and-a-half decades ago today – but Thursday marked the 15th anniversary of the famous last derby at Maine Road, in which Gary Neville ‘fed the Goat’ in City’s 3-1 win over Manchester United.

That’s all for today’s City Summary. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled on @City_Watch and the site, day and night, as we work to deliver the latest City news, views, and other high-quality content.
