Manchester City forward David Faupala has announced that he has left the club after three years.
In a post on his Instagram account, Faupala wrote: “Time to see something else . Thanks all the fans , players and staff for the 3 years at the club . And most importantly, big thank you to Mr Pellegrini . Good luck for the rest #CMONCTIY 💙💙💙💙”
Faupala, 20, failed to secure a loan move away from City in the summer and has been in limbo since, not appearing for the EDS side. Last season he had loan spells at NAC Breda and Chesterfield, neither with any great success.
His most famous moment in a City shirt came in February 2016 when Manuel Pellegrini fielded a hugely understrength team against Chelsea in the FA Cup, with Faupala scoring in a moment he recognised in his farewell message.
The former French uunder-18 international reportedly turned down offers from Dundee FC in Scotland and KSK Beveren in Belgium in the summer, but will now be looking for a new club.
