Arsenal could be without one of their in-form stars on Sunday when they meet Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, with Sead Kolasinac missing from training today.
The 24-year-old left-back, who was reportedly considered by City before they signed Benjamin Mendy, has been in outstanding form for the Gunners, picking up a goal and assist in his last appearance for them against Swansea.
And while the indications were that he’d be back in time for the weekend game, he didn’t appear at Arsenal’s last training session at London Colney before tomorrow. He may undergo a final fitness test but the signs are not good today, which in turn is a boost for unbeaten Man City.
Arsene Wenger will also be without Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi and supposing Kolasinac doesn’t make the trip, the Gunners seem likely to have a weakened defence facing the most potent strike force in the Premier League.
Despite that, City will not underestimate an Arsenal side that sports a good record against them in recent times, having won two and drawn two of their last five Premier League games against the Blues.
Sergio Aguero became Manchester City’s all-time record goalscorer with his goal against Napoli.
