Three Manchester City players up for Premier League Player of the Month awards

Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sané have both made the six-man shortlist for October’s Premier League Player of the Month award after outstanding displays last month.

Both were unbeaten in the league as part of Pep Guardiola’s rampant side which won three out of three in October, with De Bruyne registering four assists.

Meanwhile, Sané scored three goals and contributed as many assists last month, surely making him on of the favourites for the prize.

The two will be up against Nacho Monreal, Glenn Murray, Nick Pope and Wilfried Zaha.

Meanwhile, the promising City and England under-19 forward Lukas Nmecha has made the seven-man shortlist for October’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.

Nmecha scored a hat-trick in Man City’s 4-1 victory over Derby last month.

Sergio Aguero became Manchester City’s all-time record goalscorer with his goal against Napoli.
