Referee appointed for West Brom vs. Manchester City (24.10.2017)

West Brom vs. Manchester City this coming Saturday will have the same referee as West Brom vs. Manchester City last month. The only difference this time is that it will be a Premier League tie rather than the Carabao Cup third round.

Mike Jones has again been put in charge of this fixture, having overseen City’s 2-1 win over Tony Pulis’ side in September. Jones handed out four of the five yellow cards he presented that day to City, the Baggies’ only caution coming when Claudio Yacob scythed Ilkay Gündogan from behind, putting the German out of action briefly with an injury.

Prior to last month’s contest, Jones’ other most recent City assignment was in January last season when the Blues visited Selhurst Park for an FA Cup 4th round game against Crystal Palace, winning comprehensively by three goals to nil.

Full list of appointments for West Brom vs. Manchester City:

Referee: Mike Jones
Assistants: Matthew Wilkes, Mick McDonough
Fourth official: Tim Robinson
