Manchester City continue their aggressive pursuit of Europe’s finest young talents, and have entered the race for Maxen Kapo, nephew of former France international Olivier Kapo.
According to Nabil Djellit of France Football, Man City, Premier League rivals Chelsea, and Bundesliga duo Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have approached the entourage of PSG forward Kapo, 16, to start negotiations over a potential move.
An advanced striker able to play anywhere across the forward line, Kapo is a French youth international and another off PSG’s talent production line. Every year the Ligue 1 giants have to fight to hold on to their academy gems, and in recent years have lost the likes of Dan-Axel Zagadou (to Borussia Dortmund) and Moussa Dembélé (to Fulham). Three of their youngsters who have stuck around are now involved in the first team squad – Adrien Rabiot , Presnel Kimpembe and Alphonse Areola.
It remains to be seen which category Kapo will fall under, but with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund on his case, the Parisiens may have a fight on their hands to keep hold of the young prodigy.
