Alexis Sanchez wants a move to Manchester City in January in order to reunite with Pep Guardiola and for a greater chance of winning silverware, according to The Telegraph.
It is reported that Arsenal players believe he will be granted his wish when January comes around in a cut-price deal in order to avoid him leaving on a free transfer.
Sanchez is allowed to talk to foreign clubs in January ahead of his contract expiration however Manchester City would have to risk losing out if they were to sign him for a free transfer. Instead, the club are poised to make an offer for the Chilean in January which would see him join immediately, for the final part of the campaign. As mentioned within the article, a major boost for City would be that Arsenal are not in the Champions League this season and therefore Sanchez would not be cup-tied for the later stages.
Sanchez had a spell under Guardiola at Barcelona and is keen to join up with the Catalan boss once again and believes he will havfe more chance of winning silverware this season and in the future at Manchester City rather than Arsenal.
The saga is set to continue until January at least and not only will it be a relief for fans of both clubs for it to end, but also for Arsenal players, who believe the situation has had a negative effect on the dressing room.
