Manchester City are concerned that their side have suffered a major injury blow and believe that the injury sustained by Benjamin Mendy against Crystal Palace at the weekend is worse than first feared, in fact, a lot worse than first feared.
Today, Duncan Castles reports on his Twitter account that Manchester City are concerned that Benjamin Mendy has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament which would see him out for around 9 months due to the rehabilitation process.
Concern with Benjamin Mendy is that Man City's sole specialist left back has ruptured an ACL. If so possible 9 months rehab process. #MCFC

Pep Guardiola confirmed last night that Mendy will travel today to Barcelona to have further scans on the injury but the left-back was spotted last night with a knee brace on and crutches, which City fans will be hoping was precautionary principle.
It is of course a major issue for City, who were unable to sign two left-backs over the summer and will have to rely on both Danilo and Fabian Delph in the next few months, up until January at least, where Manchester City can re-enter the market.
