It’s an extremely rare non-Premier League opponent in a domestic trophy for City, with the Blues set to host Nuno Espírito Santo’s big-spending Wolves, who currently sit second in the EFL Championship.
It will be the first time the two sides have met since 22 April 2012, when goals by Sergio Agüero and Samir Nasri gave City a 2-0 win at Molineux and in the process relegated Wolves to the second tier.
