Manchester City will return to the Etihad Stadium this Saturday after three away games on the bounce, hosting Roy Hodgson’s winless Crystal Palace.
Taking charge of the game will be 51-year-old northerner Neil Swarbrick of Preston, who oversaw four City games in the Premier League last season. The Blues won three of them (Swansea A, Bournemouth A, Southampton A) and drew the other, a frustrating 0-0 home draw with Stoke.
The 3-0 thumping of Southampton on April 15 was his most recent City appointment, while you have to go back to mid-January for the last time he had the whistle for a Crystal Palace game, a 3-0 defeat to West Ham.
