Manchester City are ready to tie up Gabriel Jesus, David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne to new deals in the coming months, James Ducker of the Telegraph reports.
The 20-year-old currently earns £70,000-a-week and once playmakers Silva and De Bruyne are locked down to new contracts, the Brazilian will get an improved salary. Signed from Palmeiras for £27million last year, Gabriel Jesus would now be worth three or four times that on the market and his new terms will be in line with his growing importance.
David Silva, one of only five players in City’s 23-man senior squad now over the age of thirty, is poised to extend his deal by a year until 2020, while De Bruyne is in line for a bumper new deal that will see him remain at Man City for the peak years of his career.
After a host of contracts expired last summer, only Fernandinho and Yaya Touré have deals running out in June 2018, with Touré likely to leave the club unless of a surprise, and Fernandinho still hopeful of signing a fresh terms.
