Manchester City youth striker David Faupala has rejected moves to Dundee FC and Belgian second division side KSK Beveren, according to an exclusive report by Get French Football News.
The 20-year-old is well down the pecking order at City and after a loan spell in Holland with NAC Breda was cut short in January, he moved to EFL League One side Chesterfield on loan, scoring once in 14 appearances.
The Frenchman’s one and only goal for City famously came in an FA Cup fifth round tie away to Premier League champions Chelsea during the 2015-16 season, when Manuel Pellegrini rested most of his senior players.
Faupala is now likely to remain in City’s EDS side unless a new opportunity comes up before the transfer window closes. The EFL emergency loan window was abolished last year, meaning players can’t move to lower league clubs outside of the standard transfer window.
