While we wait for updates on whether Manchester City will win their race against time to sign Alexis Sanchez, a report in his homeland claims the man himself has confirmed a move is happening.
AS Chile and La Tercera both report that Alexis has confirmed to his Chile teammates that he will join City from Arsenal.

The latter states that Alexis’ teammates applauded him when he announced his transfer to them.
The issue remains Arsenal’s need to get a replacement in beforehand, with Thomas Lemar their primary target, but Monaco not likely to make negotiations simple this late in the day. Julian Draxler is another possibility for the Gunners.
City have made a bid of £55million plus £5million in add-ons, which Arsenal have accepted in principle according to Simon Mullock of the Mirror, but again, it all depends on if Arsene Wenger can get a high-level replacement in quickly.
The clock is ticking…
