Manchester City have ruled out using Raheem Sterling as part of any deal for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, who the club hope to push through a deal for before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.
It is reported by Sky Sports and others that 22-year-old Sterling, who has scored crucial goals in both of City’s latest Premier League games, will be remaining at the Etihad Stadium, despite potentially being the key to unlocking a deal for Alexis, with Arsene Wenger a fan of the England international.

Am told that Sterling will not be part of any Man City offer for Sanchez. City offering cash only. Have had £50m bid rejected by Arsenal.

Reports broke yesterday of Sterling before used as a potential makeweight for Alexis, which were then spun 180° as Sky Sports reported that Arsenal would be willing to offer a fee plus Sanchez for Sterling, who is under a long-term contract at City.
However, it looks like neither Raheem or Sergio Aguero, another Arsenal have shown interest in swapping for Alexis, will be moving south, and City will soon make a second cash-only bid for the Chilean.
