Patrick Roberts is expected to undergo a medical in Glasgow on Monday ahead of completing his protracted return to Celtic on loan, John Percy of the Telegraph reports.
Roberts has long been expected to return to Celtic Park after turning down options in the Premier League (Southampton) and France (Nice), but things had gone quiet recently, with coach Brendan Rodgers even unsure how his club’s pursuit would pan out.
However, it appears any remaining obstacles have been overcome with the Telegraph stating that 20-year-old Roberts’ move to Celtic should be done in the next 48 hours.
Roberts scored 11 goals last season for Celtic, becoming a big fan favourite, and will spend the entire season on loan up north. He is under contract at Manchester City until June 2020.
