Manchester City’s teenage winger Aaron Nemane is heading to Scotland on loan with Rangers with a deal agreed, BBC Scotland reports.
The 19-year-old is the first of potentially many more such deals with former City academy boss Mark Allen now the director of football at the Scottish Premiership side and having strong ties to his old club.
This will be Nemane’s first loan move outside of the English youth system and he will join other City youngsters Brandon Barker (Hibernian) and Ashley Smith-Brown (Hearts) on loan up north, with another, Patrick Roberts, poised to return for second loan spell with Celtic.
Born in France, Nemane was raised in Manchester and such was the speed of his development that he debuted for City’s under-18 side at the age of 14. A move to the Scottish giants, who have made their way back to the top flight after reforming following their liquidation, will hopefully continue his positive progress.
