Inter Milan have now been linked with THREE Manchester City defenders in the last day, after Gazzetta dello Sport revealed interest in Nicolas Otamendi, while Corriere dello Sport and TMW reported on a more realistic possibility, Eliaquim Mangala.
Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia has become the third Italian source to report on Inter’s interest in Mangala, listing him as one of four possible options the Serie A club are considering to replace Valencia-bound Jeison Murillo, who the Nerazzurri want to replace before letting go.
The other three are Aleksandar Dragović of Bayer Leverkusen, Juan Foyth of Estudiantes, and Manchester City defender, Jason Denayer, who is also subject to interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray, where he spent the 2015-16 season on loan.
This is not the first time Mangala and Denayer have found themselves targeted by the same club, after Lyon considered moves for both earlier this summer. They eventually passed on Mangala but struck a personal agreement with Denayer, before City decided to block a loan deal.
Inter could now decide to choose between one of the two, although Pep Guardiola may yet choose to keep Mangala if he fails to bring in another centre-back before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
