City Summary – August 11: Napoli close to Zinchenko deal, Pep hints at more signings, Ilić brothers signed

It’s time to catch up on today’s news – here’s your City Summary:

We’re on the eve of a brand new season for City and that means Pep’s first presser! The team news is as expected, with Mendy and Gündoğan not ready yet, but also not far off.

More signings to come?

And if so, could one of them be a left-back? Fernandinho has suggested the City boss may complete his new set of full-backs with a second left-back arrival.

More fixture changes have been announced, with the Arsenal and and Huddersfield games shifted for TV purposes.

Where will Fabian Delph be playing next season? His expected move to Stoke is in danger of collapse, Mark Hughes revealed earlier.

Ghanaian youngster Divine Naah is on his way out of the Etihad, with interest from top-flight Spanish and Portuguese sides.

Eliaquim Mangala may be banging in overhead kick goals in training, but City are finding it difficult to move him on, with Juventus apparently lukewarm on the idea of a loan move for the 26-year-old.

Kun’s international future appeared to be in some doubt recently, but both he and Nico are in Jorge Sampaoli’s latest Argentina squad.

Confirmation from Serbia on recent reports that the Blues have snapped up the Ilić brothers for a combined fee of €5.5million. The two will remain at Red Star on loan for the time being.

Meanwhile, Manchester City City Football Group someone has signed another promising youngster, Nahuel Ferraresi, and he will be parked at Torque until 2018, at which point he’ll head to New York City FC.

Once dubbed the ‘new Zlatan’, Zackarias Faour has returned to his homeland of Sweden.

Last but not least, Oleksandr Zinchenko’s rumoured move to Napoli could be getting closer. It would mean another quick profit for the Blues, but judging by social media reaction, this won’t be a popular sale if it goes ahead.
