City received international clearance for the tall goalkeeper to join from Grasshopper in March 2016, and he has made a good impression in the club’s youth teams.
He is eligible to play for both Switzerland and Montenegro, and is currently on tour with the City first-team squad, although local boy Daniel Grimshaw was preferred against Real Madrid when Guardiola subbed off Ederson.
Muric will look to kick on after penning a new deal in the hopes of some day playing regularly for Pep Guardiola’s side. For now, he is likely to play regularly for the under-23 side in the Premier League 2.
