It’s official – Manchester City have released their new away kit for the 2017/18 and it’s fair to say it’s rather nice. The kit is maroon for the outfield men, whilst the goalkeeper will wear a green shirt.

Manchester City’s official website describes the kit, it says:
“This is not the first-time maroon has featured in an away kit and as with many of the recent offerings, it is inspired by the Club’s rich history.
Dark maroon was present on the shirt worn by the 1956 FA Cup winning team, while it is also included on the detailing of this year’s home kit, as a nod to the design worn by the league title winning side of 1967/68.
There’s also room for the colour synonymous with Manchester City, with a sky-blue trim on the shirt and socks.
The all-maroon outfield kit will be paired with a green shirt, shorts and socks for the goalkeepers, which is sure to please the football purists.
As the most advanced apparel innovation to date, the Aeroswift kit has engineered knit zones on the shirt, which enhance fit when playing.
The sides of the kit feature a black stripe with blue underlay that runs the length of the shirt and blue shorts, expanding when in motion to maximise ventilation .
Finally, the City blue-trimmed socks incorporate NikeGrip technology for the ultimate foot-to-boot connection.”
