Galatasaray continue to negotiate with Manchester City for midfielder Fernando Reges, but the two sides are still a distance apart in their valuations of the Brazilian.
According to Sabah, the Turkish giants committed €5million to €6million to the budget for Fernando, who turned 30 today, but City are requesting €8million to €9million.
Head coach Igor Tudor has identified Fernando as a major target and so the club are not giving up yet and will hope to reach a compromise with City for a player who isn’t really in Pep Guardiola’s plans and saw limited game time last season.
The club plan to try and push through a deal for Fernando, who has already started receiving information on the club from former FC Porto teammate, Maicon, who recently joined. He reportedly agreed personal terms with the club recently, but now the two clubs must find an agreement.
Fernando is under contract until 2019 at City and despite being a solid hand, has never really lived up to the reputation he arrived with following his £12million move from Porto in 2014.
