Having lost Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan in one of the shock deals of the summer, Juventus are considering a number of options to replace him in the heart of their defence.
And according to an exclusive report by TMW, Manchester City centre-back Eliaquim Mangala is one of the names being discussed, with the Serie A champions already contacting an intermediary to discuss the feasibility of a deal for the 26-year-old French international.
It is reported that City are asking for around €20million (£17.8million) for Mangala, who despite being taken to the US with the squad, does not seem to be part of Pep Guardiola’s long-term squad plans.
Negotiations could be complicated, but not impossible, particularly if City would be open to a loan deal with a view to Juventus buying Mangala next summer.
AC Milan and Sevilla have also been offered the player by Gestifute, the agency owned by Mangala’s representative Jorge Mendes.
