More and more reports are surfacing that Aleksandar Kolarov is about to end his seven year stay with Manchester City by joining Serie A side Roma.

Last night, there were various claims that it is getting closer, with Gazzetta dello Sport stating late in the evening that ‘positive talks’ had taken place between City, Roma and Kolarov’s agent.
Today, Italian news portal TMW has posted an exclusive report with claims that a deal is now just ‘very few details’ away from being done, with Kolarov close to joining the Serie A side for a fee of €7million (£6.3million).
At the age of 31 and with just 12 months on his high-salary contract, this would be a decent fee for City, although it would make the successful acquisition of Benjamin Mendy from Monaco – a transfer City are struggling to close – even more important, as the sale of Kolarov would mean there are no natural left-backs in the squad.
