Danilo’s transfer from Real Madrid to Manchester City ‘delayed by 24-48 hours’

Danilo is poised to become Manchester City’s next recruit in what is becoming a very expensive summer (with as many as three more still to come!), but Blues may have to wait another day or two before the Brazilian is announced.

Spanish journalist Edu Pidal, who is over in Los Angeles covering Real Madrid’s pre-season tour, has revealed today that the two clubs have not signed the transfer of Danilo yet. Some loose ends are being tied up and the deal has been delayed by 24-48 hours, but ‘it is a fact’ that he is leaving Madrid for Manchester.

Danilo was expected to depart Real Madrid’s training camp earlier, but his move is being held up, most likely by standard issues that won’t impact whether the deal goes ahead or not. In fact, Pidal adds that Real Madrid bosses will travel to America tomorrow to sign off on a deal that is considered ‘closed.
