Manchester City have FOUR young players training at Girona FC already, despite the lack of any official announcement of their loan moves to the newly-promoted La Liga side.
According to Marca, new £10.7million signing Douglas Luiz, right-back Pablo Maffeo, midfielder Aleix Garcia and Colombian winger Marlos Moreno are already training behind closed doors with the Catalan side before the squad leaves for Manchester, where they will play friendlies against Nottingham Forest and Oldham.
It’s unclear why the quartet have not been announced yet, but it is certain that the four young Blues will be playing their club football in Spain next season.
And they could be joined by a Man City old boy, with Girona currently in talks with Espanyol to sign Felipe Caicedo on loan, with everything agreed except whether an option to buy will be inserted into the deal.
Caicedo joined City from Basel for £5.2million in January 2008, but despite flashes of talent couldn’t make an impact at the City of Manchester Stadium, and after the takeover moved down the pecking order and was eventually sold.
