Douglas Luiz only officially became a Manchester City player yesterday and has already left England to embark on the next stage of his career as a footballer.

The 19-year-old midfielder, a Brazil under-20 international, posted an image of himself at the 5 star Hotel Camiral ahead of his loan switch to Girona FC, which should be announced tomorrow or soon after.

Douglas will spend the season in Spain and is expected to be joined by several other young City players, with Aleix Garcia, Pablo Maffeo and Marlos Moreno among those mooted to be heading to the newly-promoted La Liga side on loan.
