Leicester City are hopeful of wrapping up a deal worth £25million for Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho this week, the Daily Mirror reports.
Craig Shakespeare has made Iheanacho one of his primary summer targets and after further talks were held on Friday between the clubs, a deal is now very close to being finalised.
The arrival of £25million Iheanacho will see Leicester put club record signing, Islam Slimani, up for sale after a disappointing spell following his £29million move from Sporting CP.
Despite breaking into the first team under Manuel Pellegrini, Iheanacho has struggled for game time since the arrival of Pep Guardiola, and the signing of Gabriel Jesus pushed him further down the pecking order.
The arrival of Iheanacho would lessen the burden on England striker Jamie Vardy at Leicester and the club have made it a priority to add another striker in the transfer window.
UPDATE: Sky sources believe an agreement in principle between the two clubs has been reached.
