Lille are among of a number of clubs showing interest in Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony, who is available for transfer this summer.
France’s RMC Sport broke the news yesterday that Marcelo Bielsa’s side are exploring the possibility of signing the 28-year-old, who is also subject to interest from cash-rich Chinese Super League sides.
And according to le10sport, City have already responded to Lille’s request for information by quoting the Ligue 1 side a fee of €15million (£13.3million) to sign Bony.
At this moment in time, Lille do not intend to follow up on their interest because a €14million deal for Santos midfielder Thiago Maia is their priority and they only have the money to afford one of the two. However, should the Maia deal not materialise, it is reported that they could return for Bony.
City would prefer to sell the Ivorian to China, where they could recoup as much as half of what they paid for him, but Bony prefers a European stay, with the Premier League his priority.
