Bacary Sagna continues his search for a new club after he was one of five veterans released by Manchester City earlier this summer.
The 34-year-old is still a player of good quality and in good physical condition, and it was thought that Marseille were the most interested in snapping him up.
However, according to an exclusive report by Foot Mercato, his future could be closely aligned with that of fellow outgoing City full-back Gaël Clichy, who joined Turkish Süper Lig side Başakşehir several days ago.
Galatasaray are making a serious attempt to sign the Frenchman, it is reported, and are willing to present him with a lucrative salary and signing-on fee if he accepts a move to Istanbul.
If Sagna was to move to the Türk Telekom Stadium, he would play alongside former Man City cult hero Nigel de Jong, who joined Igor Tudor’s side a year ago.
