Arsenal are braced for a bid from Manchester City for star man Alexis Sanchez, who they now believe will leave on a free transfer rather than sign a new deal at the club.
A report from Sam Lee of Goal today suggests that Sanchez is determined to leave Arsenal in the summer despite their attempts to keep him at the club, and are preparing for a bid from Manchester City.
Arsenal held talks with Sanchez’s camp and have become increasingly concerned that their star man will leave the club despite the potential of a hefty pay rise and the report suggests that Arsenal believe there is very little chance of Sanchez listening to their attempts.
If Manchester City were to take Sanchez away from Arsenal this season then a bid of around £50million should be enough, although those within the City hierarchy are concerned that Arsene Wenger will delay the move as much as possible in order to inconvenience Pep Guardiola and his side.
The saga is set to go on, but it is becoming increasingly likely that Alexis Sanchez will line up in the sky blue of Manchester City at some point soon.
