Manchester City officials are today in Istanbul to discuss the potential of signing Turkey winger Cengiz Ünder from Başakşehir, beIN SPORTS Türkiye reports.

Details are scarce at this point, but it is claimed that a delegation from the Premier League club arrived in Turkey today and will try to thrash out a deal for the highly-rated 19 year old.
Ünder has been heavily tipped to join Tottenham in an £8million deal and already has a big reputation after some exciting performances in the Turkish Süper Lig for Başakşehir, who finished 2nd last season and are currently attempting to reunite Gaël Clichy with Emmanuel Adebayor at the club.
Capped four times by Turkey at senior level, Ünder made 32 league appearances for Başakşehir last season, scoring 7 goals and assisting 5.
City’s last signing from Turkey was striker Enes Ünal, who they sold to Villarreal this summer for a profit of around £10million. If Ünder was to arrive, a work permit would be unlikely and he would probably be loaned to a club on the continent.
