Manchester City youngster Bersant Celina is in Ipswich ahead of a season-long loan deal to Championship side Ipswich Town, a move that was agreed in principle in mid-June.
The Kosovo international spent a productive year on loan at FC Twente in the Eredivisie last season, and is now ready to test himself in the rough and tumble of England’s Championship.
He posted a picture of himself at the Salthouse Harbour Hotel (below) yesterday on social media, and his move is expected to be announced imminently.
Celina told the Daily Mail days ago that he wants a long-term future at Manchester City and “even if the club decided to sell me. I will fight for them to buy me back. That’s what I want.””
20-year-old Celina has big boots to fill as a replacement for Ipswich Players’ Player of the Year, Tom Lawrence, who returned to parent club Leicester City.
