City Summary – July 3: City close to landing targets, Monaco sign Mendy replacement, Fernando to Valencia

It’s time to catch up on today’s news – here’s your City Summary:

Manchester City were linked with a move for Antonio Rüdiger, although those reports are believed to be false:

Sam Lee from Goal reports that City are close to signing all their priority targets this window:

Included in that are Ryan Bertrand and Benajamin Mendy – City want strength in depth and they would provide that at left-back:

It looks like Monaco have already signed their replacement for Benajmin Mendy who could join City in the near future:

And on the other side, City are set hoping to sign Dani Alves in the coming days and are still in negotiations with Spurs over Kyle Walker:

Pep Guardiola confirmed today that Manchester City have completed the signing of one of Barcelona’s brightest prospects – Eric García:

And now onto the outgoings, Bersant Celina has departed the club on a loan deal, he’s joined Ipswich Town:

Valencia have enquired about the availability of Fernando on a temporary basis, although City would rather sell:

The situation with Joe Hart is the same… a number of clubs are interested in Hart but only on a loan deal at the moment:

Wilfried Bony is likely to be on the move this summer with Turkish clubs being linked but Bony would rather stay in England:

Gaël Clichy could also be playing his football in Turkey next season – he was in Instanbul ahead of a potential move to Başakşehir:

And finally, the City Football Group are looking to purchase a club in India, with Mumbai City FC being the preferred option:
