Alexis Sanchez fears that Arsenal are prepared to force him to honour the last 12 months of his contract to keep him at the club, say The Telegraph.
The Chilean forward has but one year remaining on his contract and Arsenal’s insistence that he will not be sold means Alexis would have to wait until next summer to leave on a free transfer.
The 28-year old has put off a host of clubs including Bayern Munich by demanding wages of up to £350,000-a-week, consequently leaving Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Manchester City as front-runners for his signature.
The Telegraph also say that Chelsea have expressed a strong interest in the player but have been told Arsenal will not sell to a Premier League rival meaning Sanchez could threaten to leave Arsenal for nothing next summer.
Earlier today, Sanchez announced he had already a decision on his future – but will keep us guessing until after the Confederations Cup.
