Dani Alves has rejected a higher wage offer from Chelsea to reunite with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, according to Goal Brazil.
The 34-year-old right-back has received a €7m-per-year offer from Chelsea but will reject it in favour of a €5m-per-year deal with Manchester City, so that he can team up with his former coach at Barcelona, Pep Guardiola.
Dani Alves and Juventus mutually agreed to terminate his contract earlier this week but Alves is waiting for Juventus to officially announce his contract termination to the stock exchange since they are a publicly listed Football Club. That decision could be made in a matter of hours and although the Brazilian’s medical and signing is reportedly due the first week of July, Manchester City could very well announce the move before then.
Judging by this report from Goal Brazil – and many others – Dani Alves could be a Manchester City player very, very soon.
