Manchester City’s Samba ace Gabriel Jesus has enjoyed many memorable moments in the past year, becoming a regular in the Brazil side and joining Manchester City, where he became an instant hit.
Today he had less memorable moment, though, when representing the Seleção against Argentina, who Nicolas Otamendi lined up for. Gabriel was played through on goal courtesy of a simply beautiful pass from Man City teammate Fernandinho, but after taking the ball around Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero, could only hit the post with an open goal in his sights.
To make matters worse for Brazil, Chelsea star Willian ALSO hit the post from the follow-up, which meant the score remained and eventually finished Brazil 0-1 Argentina.
Gabriel Jesus was stretchered off in added time after Otamendi caught him with an elbow to the face.
