The big story earlier today was surprising news that Manchester City were set to sign Mexico winger, Hirving Lozano, from Pachuca before loaning him to PSV Eindhoven for two years.
Another Mexican source, Martín del Palacio, elaborated on the news tonight, saying City were about to spend €20m-€22m on the highly-rated youngster, but had no plans to use him in the first team. Palacio claimed Lozano would be loaned to PSV, then City would look to sell him on for a profit.
El jugador nunca se pondrá la camiseta del equipo inglés. La estrategia es revaluarlo en el mercado y después venderlo. Puro negocio.

However, two separate sources are now reporting that the entire story is a fabrication. Firstly, Martin Blackburn of The Sun has information from City that while aware of his work, they expect him to go elsewhere.
In other news #Mcfc HAVENT signed Mexican winger Hirving Lozano. They know of his work but expect him to go elsewhere

And now, major television outlet TDN has said that PSV want to sign Lozano, but there is no agreement yet. And the Manchester City story? A complete lie, they claim.
PSV está interesado en comprar a Lozano, pero no se ha llegado a un acuerdo. Lo del Manchester City es mentira, informa Marco Garcés. pic.twitter.com/E8M3INLMLC

This is quickly developing into a confusing saga with different sources reporting different information, but our impression is that someone may have jumped the gun on this story. If there are any further developments, we’ll keep you updated here at City Watch.
