Manchester City have officially presented their list of players released and given free transfers to the Premier League.
There are no major surprises, with the five veterans we already know about – Willy Caballero, Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy and Jesus Navas – all gone, while youngsters Billy O’Brien, Ellis Plummer and Callum Bullock have also been let go.
Plummer, 21, has been at the club since the age of 11, but after a loan move to St. Mirren in 2014, has rarely been heard of since and will continue his career elsewhere.
One name absent from the list is Tosin Adarabioyo, the highly-rated 19-year-old defender who is out of contract on June 30. He has not been released because City still hope to keep hold of him, but nor has a new contract been announced yet, leaving his future under a cloud of uncertainty for now.
