Manchester City have missed out on one of France’s most promising teenagers, Boubacar Kamara, after showing significant interest in signing the 17-year-old.
Kamara has decided to stay at Marseille and put pen to paper on his first professional deal, signing a contract until 2020.

City were known to have a strong desire to sign the centre-back, considered to be one of Marseille’s best academy player in years, and it was reported by L’Equipe that talks had been held between City officials and Kamara’s family over FaceTime.
Southampton were also interested in snapping up Kamara, who considered a move to the Premier League before deciding his best choice was to remain at the Orange Vélodrome.
