After just one year in Europe, 20-year-old winger Marlos Moreno is wanted back in the Americas, with Mexican club Querétaro interested in snapping up the Man City flyer on loan.
Moreno has spent the season on loan at Deportivo La Coruña in Spain, struggling for game time even after a mid-season change in coach at the Estadio Riazor.
The youngster remains optimistic and told Onda Deportiva last week that he expects to remain at the La Liga club next season.
However, whether the feelings are mutual remains to be seen, with Depor staff currently mulling over how to alter their playing staff after finishing only two places above relegation. They have an option to renew Marlos’ loan for a second season, but no decision has been made yet.
And Liga MX side Querétaro, where Brazilian legend Ronaldinho played between 2014 and 2015, want to sign Moreno on loan from City according to local journalist Rub Sainz.
La carta de Marlos es propiedad del City, la última temporada estuvo prestado con el Deportivo La Coruña pero no era tomado en cuenta.

It is unclear if Manchester City would sanction a move away from Europe for Moreno, having invested £4.75 million when they signed him from Colombian giants Atlético Nacional a year ago. Despite a difficult first year in Europe, he remains a promising talent and another loan spell on the continent may be City’s preferred option.
