Agent meets with Benfica president, player’s move to Manchester City on agenda

Manchester City have been strongly linked with a move for Benfica duo Ederson Moraes and Nélson Semedo this summer and it is believed that Benfica president Luís Filipe Vieira and agent Jorge Mendes met to discuss possible moves yesterday.

Vieira and Mendes (who represents both players) attended Monaco’s celebration party yesterday after winning Ligue 1 and it is reported by A Bola that Mendes took the opportunity to discuss potential transfers this summer.

The report suggests that Mendes is trying to secure moves for both Ederson and Semedo in the upcoming transfer window and claims the pair have traveled together on numerous occasions in recent months, including visits to Manchester, Turin and Madrid.

What specifically was on the agenda yesterday is all speculation, but it is strongly believed that one of the main topics of discussion was Ederson’s potential move to Pep Guardiola’s side.
