Manchester City and Marseille are both considering approaches for Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny, according to French television channel Téléfoot.
The 31-year-old is a proven Premier League defender, something that may appeal to Pep Guardiola, who saw his side concede two goals against one of the league’s worst attacks this afternoon as City drew 2-2 with Middlesbrough.
Marseille, who also have Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud in their sights, are ready to spend big in order to challenge for the Ligue 1 title again, and signing two more French internationals would bring them closer to that goal.
Arsenal are unlikely to welcome offers for Koscielny, who is under contract until 2020, but City and OM may try to tempt them with a big offer for a player who turns 32 in September.
Téléfoot also linked City with a move for PSG defender Marquinhos earlier in the day.
