Referees appointed for Manchester City vs. Manchester United and Middlesbrough vs. Manchester City

Experienced referee Martin Atkinson has been tasked with officiating this Thursday night’s Manchester derby between Manchester City and Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.

The 46-year-old has taken charge of two City games recently, the 2-0 win at Sunderland on March 5 and the 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Etihad on December 18.

City will have little respite before traveling to the Riverside Stadium to face struggling Middlesbrough on Sunday, and Kevin Friend will be the referee for that game.
