France Football reveals the 5 best paid coaches in the world including Pep and Mourinho

French publication France Football has conducted a study to determine who the best-paid players and coaches are in the world. Unlike many of these lists, this doesn’t just factor in basic salaries, but also bonuses and advertising deals.

No Manchester City player ranks in the top five best paid footballers in the world (1. Ronaldo, 2. Messi, 3. Neymar, 4. Bale, 5. Lavezzi), but Pep Guardiola is among the most handsomely rewarded coaches on the planet, making a cool €14.5 million per season.

However, Pep is by no means the biggest earner in the world of coaching. He makes little more than half as much as Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho (€28 million), who is by quite a distance raking in the most money from his salary and other deals.

Pep also ranks behind Marcello Lippi (China), Laurent Blanc (ex-PSG) and Carlo Ancelotti (Bayern Munich) on the coaching rich list.
