19-year-old Manchester City playmaker, Manu García, has been turning heads at NAC Breda in the Netherlands’ Jupiler League (second division) since arriving on loan in January.
García was recalled from a disappointing loan spell at Deportivo Alavés in the New Year, having failed to make a single La Liga appearance in half a season. To guarantee the teenager minutes to develop, he joined several other City loanees at NAC in the second tier of Dutch football.
It’s safe to say he has been performing well, with 2 goals and 4 assists in 11 appearances, contributing to a goal every 76 minutes at NAC. And he has this week been named in the Jupiler League ‘Team of the Week’ after a particularly impressive performance against Jong Ajax, registering an assist and scoring a lovely goal against Jong Ajax in NAC’s 4-3 win.
Hopefully Manu, who already has four first-team appearances for City to his name, can continue to develop and fight for a spot in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
