Manchester City played out one of the most exciting games in Champions League history recently against AS Monaco, coming out 5-3 winners at the Etihad. Weeks later and it’s time to do it again, with City holding a two-goal advantage, but not a comfortable one given Monaco’s ability to score freely and their three away goals.
Awaiting City if they can come out aggregate winners is a place in the Champions League quarter-final draw and many potential interesting matches, including Leicester City, who overcame the odds to beat Sevilla last night.
Today’s referee, quite a card happy one, is Italian official Gianluca Rocchi, who has overseen big City matches against Barcelona and Real Madrid in the past.
Here are the teams selected by Pep Guardiola and Monaco boss, Leonardo Jardim, tonight:
Monaco XI: Subašic, Fabinho, Jemerson, Bernardo Silva, Bakayoko, Germain (c), Sidibé, Mendy, Raggi, Lemar, Mbappé
Manchester City XI: Caballero, Sagna, Stones, Kolarov, Clichy, Fernandinho, Sterling, Silva, De Bruyne, Sané, Agüero
